• woke up gave her her prevacid, eryped (gastroparesis meds), miralax, and benefiber
• fed the kids breakfast and off we went! 
• get to the drs and as we wait ella blessed us with a bm...which is good cuz it turns out they wanted a sample
• after going over her history with the ped at the gastro drs she goes to consult with the actual gastro dr (why the gastro dr can't come in to talk to us ourselves i dunno)
• anyway they say she doesn't have gastroparesis because she wasnt' vomiting when she was tested
• never mind that her test results showed that she didn't BEGIN to digest her milk for 217 minutes (normal is 3-5!!)\
• they said we were to stop giving her the eryped immediately, i was not in agreement but I am not a doctor
• they want her tested for celiac...yes shes had the test done once but it was intended for 4 year olds and up so they are going to scope her esophogus, stomach, and intestines
• they are also going to test her for hrischsprungs which is a rectal scope at the same time as the other scope
• finally they want to test her for cystic fibrosis which is a sweat test.
• all of these make sense in one form or another with her symptoms, the only one that fits ALL of her symptoms is the cystic fibrosis (it fits her recurring bouts of lung infections, gastro symptoms, and FTT.  however I really REALLY pray its not CF.  celiac fits all of her symptoms as well except her recurring bouts of lung infections
• hrischsprungs really only fits her constipation issues, but that would prolly be something she has in addition to one of the 2 up top....its highly unlikely she has that by itself.
• today is her 2nd full day off of her eryped and shes barely eating, so I have a call into her gastro drs again to see if i can put her back on her eryped.  its obviously she needs it.  she went from eating like crazy and practically eating me out of house and home to not eating hardly at all!! 

if you pray please pray that whatever is wrong with my sweet girl that it is NOT cystic fiborsis!!  the thought of her life span being into her teens to 20's (30's at best) makes my heart ache something terrible.  I really really REALLY just want answers.  I want to know what is wrong with my baby so I can move on and deal with it.  the unknown is driving me batty! 

this morning we were searching for ins cuz we were told cuz of D's accident in 02/2008 and mine last sept that as of july 21st they were dropping us.  ok fine. last week i called to make my pmt and the girl said i didn't owe anything cuz they canceled us effective 5/28.  are you freaking kidding me? so to avoid having our ins lapse for 30 days we have until this monday to get ins.  ugh fine. so he goes to get ins and the guy calls and says nope you are covered til 7/21??? so D comes home and tells me all this and I call state farm.  she doesn't know she is just as confused as I am says she'll call me back once she figures it out.  so come to find out since they 'forgot' to send us our cancelation notice they have no choice other than to keep insuring us til next july. by next july his accident will be off our record and we'll be able to stay with state farm. 

ok fine....on to other issues

First of all, today I found out that her insurance is in fact going to cover her prevacid.  good thing some desk clerk has deemed the med necessary.  I kinda thought her dr did that months ago, but what do I know.  Anyway, I got a call back from the feeding clinic about what to do about ellas stool sample results. this whole time I thought we were seeing gastro drs at the childrens institute. NOPE! they dropping our case and handing it off to the gastro drs at childrens hospital (2 different facilities). basically her stool results show that her body's not processing carbs like its supposed to.  what that means?  I have no freaking clue! so with her FTT (failure to thrive), gastroparesis (slow gastric emptying), constipation / diareaha (sp) issues, eating like a pig and gaining nothing, and now not metabolizing carbs we have no freaking clue whats wrong with her.  what we do know is its not a 'feeding issues' like textures and whatnot so there is nothing more the feeding clinic can do :( . so no appt in pitts next wed, but we are still going to the zoo and she sees the actual real gastro drs on july 13th

So againg like always, Ella is a mystery and is proving to be difficult.  Go figure....she is a diva in training!

ps.....if all goes as planned we may very well have a surprise for all of you.  details to follow....maybe ;)

 So school takes up much of my time these days and  there are days...ok 99.9% of the days where I ask myself wth was I thinking going back to school???  Seriously!  Right now I have a total of 2 research papers, 2 group projects and 1 oral report on one of the research papers due...well all before the end of the term which is 5/19/10.  Most ppl are shocked when I tell them that I am only taking 3 classes...but wait!  In the fall I am going to be taking 4 I hope!  Ya I know...I'm  crazy! 

It has been an exciting month thats for sure....Dakota threw sand in ella's hair, but of course denied it....

Ella got her pictures taken at the zoo by a very dear friend of mine....

Ella and dakota acted silly......ella discovered her love of any hat except the ones shes supposed to wear outside.....

 and dakota discovered how much he loves the eye drs silly glasses

And well lil miss ella got her very first pair of glasses.....

and I thought dakota was being naughty and here he was being an angel....sleeping in his bed lol

And dakota taught ella one of his lil tricks....  laying back in the elmo chair that fyi was not made to be a recliner

I couldn't love these 2 more than I do if my life depended on it....so I guess I'll keep them.  So in the meantime I'll see you all in about a month...when I go on summer break ;)
